You can carry smoking devices such as matches or lighters onboard. However, the limitation to each passenger on board is 1 device at most for personal use.

＊NOTICE＊

For flights departing from Shanghai (Pudong) International Airport, neither matches nor lighters are allowed to be carried into the cabin or checked in.
Neither a cigar lighter (with a strong blue torch flame) nor an oil-tank lighter (without absorbent cottons) can be carried into the cabin or checked in.
